FAQ's
Some mild discomfort can be felt during treatment – sometimes compared to an elastic band pinging onto the skin
The pulses of visible light break down any melanin that is responsible for pigmentation in the skin, the body absorbs the pigment reducing any age spots, freckles or pigment in the skin.
This works in the same way when treating any areas of redness or thread veins, the visible light hits the areas of high hemoglobin and is absorbed creating a heat which damages the vessels to make them less visible. The heat caused in the skin also stimulates collagen and elastin production helping reduce fine lines and improve skin texture.
Results can usually be seen after a couple of sessions but continue to improve over the course of treatment
Results are long lasting if the skin is protected well after treatment with good skin care and a good sun protection factor – we recommend Heliocare SPF 50 or Obagi SPF 50.
We recommend one treatment every 6-8 months after completing a course of treatment to maintain the results and continue to stimulate new collagen and elastin
