The ‘Ellipse’ system uses short, safe bursts of intense pulsed light, to remove the unwanted hairs, from all areas of the body in minutes. A gel is applied to the skin prior to treatment to ensure the maximum amount of light enters the skin. The Ellipse applicator is pressed against the skin and a carefully controlled pulse of visible light is released. Melanin converts the light into heat, which travels down the hair and heats the hair matrix, preventing future hair growth.

The treatment is carried out by inserting a very small probe charged with a small electrical current, into the hair follicle.
